Argentina Away Shirt 2008/09 This is the new Argentina away shirt, it is a beautiful shirt for a wonderful football nation. It was designed by adidas and will be used for the 2008/09 campaign. The base colour of the shirt is very dark blue, almost black. It has the white adidas logo in the centre and the Argentina badge on the left side (when worn). Above the badge there are the two stars for the 2 World Cups that Argentina have won in their history. On the sleeves there are 3 white stripes that are connected to the black collar. The shirt has two light-blue thin stripes that go from the sides of the collar, around the chest, down the side of the shirt and connect at the back of the shirt. Although Argentina have failed to hit the heights since the halcyon days when Diego Maradona ruled the world the are still ranked the number 1 team in the world. Their status as one of the teams expected to successfully negotiate continental qualifying for the FIFA World Cup finals remains largely unchanged.
