Manchester United European Home Shirt 1999Remember the greatest night in the history of Manchester United with the very shirt that the team wore on that fateful night in Barcelona on 26th May 1999.Sir Alex Ferguson had already guided United to glory in the Premier League and FA Cup and now only Bayern Munich stood in the way of a unprecedented treble.The game started disastrously for United with Bayern Munich taking an early lead and thats the way the game stayed for most of the game, with United struggling to find a way to break the Bayern Munich defence.Then came the most exciting end to any European Final ever. United won a corner in the 91st which David Beckham sent into the box which eventually found its way to Teddy Sheringham who finally put the ball in the back of the net and seem to send the game to extra time.However, United had not finished and in the final minute of the game they got another corner. The ball came over again and Sheringham flicked the ball on to the waiting Solskjaer who scored with his first touch and sent Manchester United to treble glory!
